Orange Creamsicle melons (aka orange flesh or 'orange dew' melons) are one of the most luscious, fragrant, and sweet honeydew melons we offer at the market.

Orange Creamsicle melons (okay, we really like to call them that) are a cross between a traditional honeydew melon and a muskmelon (the family to which cantaloupes belong.) The result is a melon that has the flavor of a cantaloupe and the deep sweetness of a honeydew. They are smooth-skinned with orange flesh, a creamy texture, very sweet flavor, and are very juicy. What's not to love about that?

Choosing a ripe one is easy! Here's how:

  1. Look at the melon's color. It should be yellow-orange.

  2. Smell the melon. It should have a light fragrance.

  3. Touch the melon's skin. It should be waxy.

Voila! Now you have the secret to choosing a ripe, flavorful Orange Creamsicle melon!
